Good-Bye to a Great Gal
Andrea has been with us since Jan/11 and has been such a positve part of our community and will be missed tremendously by many.
As trite as it might sound, the people at CFK are my family in Kitchener. I moved here in late 2010 without knowing a single person.
But since that Groupon purchase back in January 2011, I think there have been very few days that I haven’t spend with a Crossfitter, whether it’s at the box or socially. From the annual calendar, competitions and my favourite, the parties, I’m sad to say that in a couple of days, I’m leaving some of my best friends. Not only did I make significant friendships through CFK, but I also made significant physical gains. I walked into CFK with no athletic background and the extent of my fitness being the elliptical at the gym and a few body pump-esque classes. And while I still prefer the gymnastics and cardio movements that crossfit programming offers, I also have a new appreciation for lifting – although deadlifts and I will never be friends 😉
Most importantly, going to CFK, for me, was F-U-N! (As Murf likes the spell out haha). Walking into the box, seeing friends and knowing I’m going to get a great workout in with some awesome trainers, always had the ability to lift my spirits.
I will miss everyone a tremendous amount and I can’t wait to come back and visit!
Pull Ups – every 90 sec, 3-4 reps @ 31X1, 5 sets
150 Wall balls – but every time you stop or drop the ball you must run 400m
