Seems like it is a herb, which is OK for Paleo but it usually comes mixed in with cereal like All-Bran (a grain) which is non-paleo. I’m not sure how to obtain “pure” Psyllium. Seems like a good thing to consider if you can get it. As far as fiber, Sarah is right (did I say that out loud?? )vegetables and fat consumption will keep you regular.
Psyllium is apparently is a little too aggressive on the guts. It is sharp like glass. Something a little bit more delecate and easy on the body would be ground up flax seed, but of which help in keeping you regular too;) Anyway, a holistric nutritionist friend of mine advises against psyllium for the above reason.
Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.
Another Paleo question:
Psyllium, is it okay on Paleo? Is it a seed or a grain or what?

it is really not something needed-or shouldnt be on paleo diet due to the large amount of fibre and roughage from fruits and vegetables

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of using it as a replacement for grains in various recipes. I think it is worth experimenting with.
