Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.

Hey, Merry Christmas everybody. For anyone that’s getting squirly with this time off, I’ll be coming in around 3:30 on Saturday. It’s by no means a formal class, but if you feel the need to work off some of that Christmas cheer stop in. I’ll be clearing out no later than 6.

Merry Christmas everyone from sunny California! Your girls are adorable Lance and Jo.
I had planned on hitting a few crossfit gyms down here, but I have been sicker than a dog since Monday – haven’t been this sick in years. Tell me how many days off in a row will negate all of the positive benefits built up from mega-burpee-ing and learning cleans – getting really depressed. The running trails are calling out to me. I have only been able to manage a few jogs. I will keep reading the site for positive inspiration… we still have 2 weeks left here. Hoping to hit Crossfit Huntington Beach next week.
